1. Assistant Section Officer

Salary/Pay and Grade Pay -  For assistant section officer post, the payable salary will be Rs 9,300 - 34,800 with Rs 4,200 grade pay per month. Further information about salary details is mentioned in the detailed advertisement.

  • Assistant Section Officer - {a graduate degree in any discipline}.


Selection Method - For recruitment in the Press Council of India, the candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in the online written exam and then descriptive exam. Candidates must be prepared for these tests. 
 
Syllabus and Exam Pattern -  The question paper for the following subjects will be conducted in English only. The preliminary exam will consists of following subjects
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 Questions, 50 Marks) 
  • General Awareness (40 Questions, 40 Marks)
  • English Language and Comprehension (40 Questions, 40 Marks)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions, 50 Marks).
The total number of questions for computer-based objective type exam will be 200 and total marks will be also 200. The duration exam of exam will be of 120 minutes and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for one wrong answer. The written exam will be in English Language.

Work Experience - No further work experience required for this post. Fresher candidates and candidates with no experience can also apply for this recruitment.
